Plant Haus is a calm, modern concept store built to showcase what's possible with a styled, user-friendly Shopify store for houseplants and wellness-focused products. The store walks through the entire e-commerce experience - from brand concept and product setup to workshops, reviews, SEO, and interactive elements.


Whether you’re creating a niche store or just love seeing how far you can push the Shopify editor, this demo is full of ideas for building thoughtful, plant-loving spaces online.

1. Shopify Theme & Development

  • Started with Shopify’s Dawn theme

  • Custom JSON & Liquid sections created from scratch

  • Styled announcement bar, 404 page, and illustration blocks

  • Used metafields to power galleries, testimonials, and care cards


2. Brand & Visual Identity

  • Developed name, tone, and voice of the brand

  • Created illustration-style assets in Adobe Illustrator

  • Soft colour palette (sage green, charcoal, off-white)

  • Web fonts chosen for softness and readability


3. Products, Reviews & SEO

  • 18 products created across 3 collections + 3 workshops

  • Each with custom descriptions, faux SKUs, barcodes & weights

  • 20+ customer reviews generated with realistic content and timestamps

  • SEO-friendly meta titles, descriptions, and alt text throughout


4. Shopify Apps & Integrations

  • Inbox – chat with styled instant answers

  • Shopify Forms – 10% off pop-up for signups

  • Judge.me – imported customer reviews

  • Search & Discover – product filtering

  • Metaobjects – custom gallery & testimonial sections

5. Workshops as Products

  • Created events as products with unlimited inventory logic

  • Each with unique artwork, SEO copy, and clear structure

  • Easy to expand into a full calendar system


6. Visual Content & Illustrations

  • AI-generated photography for products and workshops

  • Custom flat vector-style illustrations with clear backgrounds

  • Used Adobe CC with Photoshop and Illustrator for file cleanup and resizing

  • Soft shadows, clean cropping and cohesive styling throughout


7. Copywriting & UX

  • Wrote all site copy: homepage, product pages, 404, FAQs

  • Blog posts on low-light plants, indoor mood benefits, and community events

  • Casual tone, soft structure, accessible without being oversimplified


The Goal

Plant Haus wasn’t just about building a nice-looking plant shop. It’s a showcase of what’s possible when thoughtful content, Shopify know-how, and smart visual identity come together. Everything is scalable and ready to evolve - from workshops to product lines and beyond.
